In the article for the March issue of Valve World magazine, ESA member D. Halkyard, Flexitallic Ltd, writes about possible causes, checks and remedial actions to seal failures and subsequent down times.

Further to his February article in which he discussed why preventive and corrective actions are needed to minimise seal failures, D. Halkyard now highlights some of the more common primary causes and suggests some cost-effective checks and preventative action to be considered in the event of ‘catastrophic’ seal failure mode.
